Our Fantastic Assembly

Here are the highlights of another fabulous school assembly taken by the junior school. Thanks to Miss Vickers for all her organisation and to all the teachers and children who worked hard on their performances. A special thanks to Miss Kapene who taught the ukelele group. Feelings and Descriptions

MOTAT Stories

Bread and Toast

We explored the taste, smell, feel and sound of bread and then investigated the difference when we toasted it

The Circles maths group have been looking at number patterns. We decided to create patterns to 6

Our Train Station Visit

As we're learning about transport and trains we went for a visit with Rooms 2 and 3 to the Newmarket Train station. We saw an electric train as well as a couple of diesel trains. The electric train was so quiet. We met the friendly lady at the customer services booth. She helps people when they are not sure which trains to catch.

Ayane's Super Writing

Ayane loves writing so when we decided to write about clothes that we love to wear, she set to work and wrote a wonderful story about a beautiful dress.

My Beautiful Dress

Guess what! I have a blue dress and I have a white dress. My mum got it from Farmers.  I can wear it to parties.  I was excited when she got it because they have flowers and when I wear it I feel like I'm flying.  It was light blue colour and it was a summery dress.

Newmarket Rail Launch

We got to be on TV!  Our school had an assembly on Wednesday to celebrate a new Rail Safety resource for schools.  We got to sing the Rail Safe song and we made a train with our photo's on it. The Associate Transport Minister - Michael Woodhouse came and lots of other important people came too. Click on the link to have a look.

Yummy Hedgehogs

The Eagles group read a book called Hedgehog Fun. We thought the hedgehogs looked so delicious that we would make our own. So the Eagles read out the instructions and we got to work.

Charlie the Guinea Pig

Charlie the guinea pig came to visit this week and got the star treatment. Lots of cuddles and all the grass he could eat.

Our Sun Study

We have been studying the sun for science this term.  Watch this presentation slide show to see what we have been learning about the sun.
